Maine Interfaith Power & Light

2010 is shaping up to be the hottest year on record. As greenhouse gases pour into our atmosphere, Washington refuses to pass a climate bill and the Copenhagen climate summit has produced little more than words.

What can you and your congregation do?

Take the Climate Care Challenge!

The Climate Care Challenge is about faith communities and their members cutting carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. We are asking faith communities to reduce their emissions by 10% or more within a year. Cutting 10% is an achievable goal, and is in line with what scientists say we need right now.

Big tasks are made easier if broken up into smaller, manageable pieces – and 10% this year will have your home and faith community building well on the way to the emissions reductions scientists say we need. Click here to receive more info about the challange.
