MeIPL Projects

As part of our mission to promote and provide clean power options that protect our planet from global warming, Maine Interfaith Power and Light has been working on several fronts to achieve this ideal. To that end, we place particular value in educating and working with the grassroots of Maine to affect change.  

Specifically, Maine Interfaith Power and Light has connected, with and fostered key relationships, with communities of faith across the state. Members of various faiths are represented on our board of directors and participate in the work of Earth Care Teams.

In addition, Maine Interfaith Power and Light has developed a special fund, known as the Sunny Day Fund, to provide small grants to Maine residents so that they can install solar electric and solar hot water technology on their homes and businesses. To date we have granted $8,000 to the PV Reinvestment Fund administered by the Maine Energy Investment Corporation.
