Who We Are
Maine Interfaith Power and Light is a non-profit, membership-based organization that brings Maine residents and organizations together to buy clean electricity.
As a membership organization, we offer Maine residents the option to join and support our advocacy work to address global warming while receiving the benefit of renewable energy credits (RECs or “certificates”) from NativeEnergy, a Native American energy company.
As a licensed aggregator, we are a matchmaker between electricity consumers (any individual or organization that buys electricity in Maine can join our pool) and suppliers. We work to offer our pool the best clean electricity value in the state of Maine.
Mission Statement
Inspired by diverse faith perspectives, Maine Interfaith Power and Light works to protect the natural world from climate change by engaging the faith communities and people of Maine in energy conservation and the use of clean, renewable energy.
